2nd Eastern European Tunnelling Conference - The Eastern European Tunnelling Conference is abiennial regional traveling conference. It aims to promote the sharing of knowledge, experience, skills, ideas and achievements in the design, financing and contracting, construction, operation and maintenance of tunnels and other underground facilities among the countries of Eastern Europe, on an organized basis and with agreed aims. EETC2014 aims mainly to bring together colleagues from Eastern Europe but people from the rest of the world are also welcome. For more information, please click here

European Transport Conference - The European Transport Conference (ETC) connects the worlds of research, consultancy, policy and practice. Attendance at ETC allows different groups to pose questions to fellow professionals and to assess what is possible in terms of delivery. Researchers are challenged by policy-makers; practitioners need to deliver on the ground what the policy-makers want.
The Association for European Transport has identified for the 2014 Conference some major themes of interest to all working in transport planning. These topics will make up the headline themes of the Conference:
• Big Data
• Investment in Transport Infrastructure
• Cycle Infrastructure and Cycle Safety – cycle superhighways, urban areas, longer distances
• Managing traffic in urban areas and town centres, “Traffic in Towns”
• Resilience to the effects of changes in the climate
• Assessment of techniques for the appraisal of major projects
The Programme Committees have also produced their own Calls for Papers which highlight specific areas of interest to be included in the seminar programme.
