New CEO for FEHRL member TRL

Rob Wallis started as new CEO at TRL as of middle of July and is replacing Dr Sue Sharland.

The Transport Research Foundation and TRL announced recently that after 12 years, their CEO Dr Sue Sharland is stepping down. She will leave the company in the autumn to pursue a variety of roles, including joining the Presidential team at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and a number of non-Executive Directorships.
Dr Sharland’s replacement as of 15th July is Rob Wallis, who has 30 years of professional and business services leadership experience, working across private, public and non-profit sectors in the UK and internationally. A major focus has been delivering solutions into the transport, logistics, supply chain and automotive sectors.

Rob Wallis joins from BSI, where he was Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa region, an international division of approximately 1,000 employees. Prior to BSI, he held managing director and senior director roles leading transport-focused businesses at Hedra, EDS and LogicaCMG, having begun his career at the CAA.
