Since 2010, the Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL) has been coordinating Scanning Tours with the United States.
Each of these tours has been developed in cooperation with the U.S. Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA’s) Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC), which represents the United States in FEHRL. The tours are intended to bring about the exchange of knowledge and partnership building between organizations in the United States and the participating members of FEHRL.
In 2016, the first Scanning Tour was held in Asia and the first within Europe in 2017. In 2018, we returned to the United States.
