On 21st February 2017, the ECOROADS project organised its 3rd workshop in Brussels.  The event was attended by approximately 50 stakeholders representing road authorities and operators, research centres and other infrastructure experts.

The purpose of the workshop was to present to end users the final results of the joint safety operations conducted from March 2016 – October 2016, as well as preliminary recommendations for the application of RSA and RSI concepts.  More specifically, the consortium sought to get the input of road authorities and operators on the draft ECOROADS recommendations in order to ensure that the final project outcomes become a practical tool that will enable road authorities to enhance safety on their road network and in particular tunnels.

Having gathered significant input from several authorities during the workshop, the consortium will subsequently finalise its recommendations that will be presented at the ECOROADS final conference that will take place on 10th May 2017 in Brussels.
